If you remember, a few days ago Apple Inc. announced the number of application downloads made during the first week of the iTunes App Store and the second-generation iPhone. Amazingly, a week after its debut, there are already 10 million downloads made at the iTunes App Store. However, Apple Inc. no longer specified how many of these download were made for games, software toys, and more.

But the figure has gotten stronger these past few days. Recently, Apple Inc. boasted that the iPhone owners have already downloaded as much as 25 million copies of the various software programs available at the iTunes App Store. The 25 million downloads were made 11 days after the iTunes App Store had its debut. The company sees this as a

sign of significant benefit for the future sales of the second-generation iPhone.

According to the Chief Operating Officer of Apple Inc, the traffic going to the iTunes App Store suggests that the official store is on its way to making the iPod Touch as well as the iPhone more appealing to its customers. Tim Cook said these statements on a recent conference call where they have to discuss the latest results of 3G iPhone and iTunes App Store. Both new products from their companies definitely exceeded their expectations.

The iTunes App Store is not just a profit maker for the company. It is also helping Apple Inc. sell more iPhones by simply providing software to the consumers that no other mobile phone manufacturers could have.
