iPhone StealthSIM: unlock iPhone v1.1.2 firmware with StealthSIM
Posted by dennis on December 16th, 2007 at 11:04pm
Yet another new solution for unlocking the Apple iPhone v1.1.2 for use with normally unauthorized mobile carriers is now available — without really hacking your iPhone. Almost.
Much like the SonicSIM iPhone v1.1.2 unlock method we’ve discussed just today, this is a hardware based solution. As stated by its manufacturer, Stealth SIM requires no modification of the baseband on your iPhone. Instead you use your regular SIM card along with the StealthSIM.

StealthSIM is guaranteed by its manufacturer to work with iPhones of all models — 4GB and 8GB, USA and European, and all firmware versions including v1.1.2. And according to forum posts it really does work. The installation instructions are rather straightforward as well.
StealthSIM iPhone unlocker retails for around USD $90 via distributors and on eBay.

Do I understand correctly that additional benefit If I use StealthSIM to unlock my 1,1,2 iPhone i that I can always upgrade the software contained on the phone without risking a relocking position again (as in the case with unlocking it with software?)
Please confirm, thanks

That is correct. this is a “universal” iPhone boot-loading solution, from what we can figure. That means that you can keep whatever version of iPhone firmware on your device, without really “hacking” it.

I took a chance because a friend of mine got a stealthsim and saw the iphone working under rogers, so I went ahead and purchased 20 stealthsim from this site and I cant believe the support and the fast shipping I got from them. Once i got them, i followed their video and steps on their website, I installed all the stealthsims in the iphones and all work like a charm without any hiccups. I did rogers and fido and they been running fantastic. I just made an other order of 5 . i got them for 94.99 USD a peice.
These stealthsims are for version 1.1.2 OTB (bootloader 4.6) iphones.
Watch there video.

You can get StealthSIMS for $95…which is the cheapest price right now on the net. The link is on my blog.

Hey I got 10 pieces from www.stealthsim.ca for $89.95 each. They shipped UPS express. Fast service and they actually have a number where you can call for tech support.

www.stealthsim.ca does not sell them for 89.95, see:
$99.95/each
+ shipping & handling
IN STOCK & READY TO SHIP.
www.iphonethesolution.com is the cheapest for the stealthsim on the net for only $94.95 by adding IPHONECA AND YOU GET AN ADDITIONAL $5.00 OFF THE TOTAL PURCHASE.

Actually they do sell for $89.95 but you have to request payment VIA email. They sent me an AlertPay invoice and I paid total $895.00 and I got free next day shipping to Toronto.

Do you work for the other guys or what you sure seem to market for them. You actually sound like a door to door salesperson!

Warning to vendors: if there’s anymore squabbling and trying to pretend that you are ’satisfied customers’ in order to generate traffic to your own site, ALL your posts will be deleted — retroactively — and your site’s URL will be added to banned words list. We can see posters’ IP addresses, you know…
I understand that selling iPhone unlockers is a dog eat dog business, but what you are doing is just ridiculous. If you want to advertise on site buy ads, stop trying to flame and ‘disprove’ the competition. So far we allowed this to go further, but the party won’t last for long.

HAHAHA thats what I said. Well if anyone else knows of anything like the stealthsim that works for cheaper please let me know.

Rick,
There’s this thing from Brando — http://www.iphoneworld.ca/news/2008/01/26/unlock-your-iphone-with-unlock-sim-cardchip/ — only $30+shipping, which appears to be the cheapest price for a hardware unlocker… Although we had no chance to test it yet, so can’t say anything about how it works.
