T-Mobile has announced they have sold more than 120,000 iPhone 3G’s since the July 11 launch, with over 75,000 in Germany alone. In addition to Germany, the total sales from T-Mobile also include the Netherlands and Austria. All in all this seems to be good news from T-Mobile as chief executive Hamid Akhavan has stated that their initial “sales expectations were surpassed.”
Akhavan also stated that while some T-Mobile customers were also experiencing the recent connection issues, however their complaints only came from customers located in the Netherlands, and not from Germany or Austria.
Further good news regarding the iPhone 3G coming from T-Mobile is that their initial backlog problems have been worked out, and it should be cleared by the end of August.
