A tech start up has unveiled at MacWorld a rather interesting speech-to-text service for the iPhone which lets you have your voicemail dictated to text and then sent to you. The service is called QuickTate and it’s currently in free beta.
QuickTate, according to the company’s founder, diverts calls to your iPhone to its service. These calls are automatically transcribed and forwarded back to you as an email, text message or through an iPhone compatible Web widget. QuickTate will also let you call it so you can speak vocal notes to it, which will be recorded and sent back as text.
One additional useful feature is that this service supports both English and Spanish.
