Morgan Stanley- iPhone sales to double in 2008
The iPhone is a great device, and recent price cuts as well as the introduction of a cheaper, faster model have led analysts at Morgan Stanley to raise their price target in AAPL from $185 to $210, citing solely a predicted increase in iPhone sales- “We believe the market generally expects a doubling of iPhone units with the lower price point, and we believe this is realistic, if not conservative.”
Even more impressive was Morgan Stanley’s prediction for next year- they expect over 27 million iPhones to be sold, with an average revenue of around $550 a piece.
