AT&T not so sure about free hotspots for iPhone users

Remember the big debacle last week, where AT&T had announced and taken down a free hotspot service for iPhone users? Well, the plot thickens. AT&T has now deleted that original announcement, which stated that over 17,000 AT&T-managed hotspots would be available to iPhone users free of charge. Since then, the service has been switched back on twice, only to be taken down for a few days. We really hope AT&T can get their act together and make up their mind- preferably to keep the service going! What has your experience been with the AT&T wifi service?
