Despite of the all the issues the 3G iPhone faced during its first week such as the glitch, frustrated crowd, and shortages, it had a successful debut overall. And just a few days after its debut, Apple Inc. confirmed that there are already 10 million downloads made on the iTunes App Store.

But that’s not all. If you are wondering how many units were sold after hundreds of Apple fanatics queued, Apple said that the 1 millionth 3G iPhone was purchased last Sunday. Steve Jobs boasted that the iTunes App Store was a grand slam. He was proud that the developers who used the SDK created




extraordinary applications for the iPhone as well as iPod Touch.

Steve Jobs also recall that the first-generation iPhone took at least 74 days before it reached 1 million purchased units. He is so happy and excited at the same time that the 3G iPhone is off to a great start in United States as well as United States.

As of the moment, there are already more than 800 applications that can be downloaded at the iTunes App Store. More than 200 applications can be downloaded for free. When the iTunes App Store was launched, there were only 550 applications available for the 3G iPhone and iPod Touch.
