3G iPhone in May, Unknown Device in June?

A recent rumor, which I won’t get too excited over, is the mysterious release date of the 3G iPhone.

In April, SwitchToaMac published a rumor that Apple would be launching the 3G iPhone earlier than expected. Why?

Reportedly, Apple would instead announce a brand new portable device at WWDC. No other details of what this device might be, but there have been rumors that Apple was developing a “mini-tablet multitouch” device for launch in 2008.

SwitchToaMac’s source claimed that the 3G-capable iPhone would be announced in May, with the belief that it would be available for purchase the day after the announcement.

It is still May, and June is right around the corner. As the date get closer, it is clear that people will concoct a dream of flying iPhones if they could, only to get them through this hard time of waiting.

That is what we must do—wait. Good things come for those who wait, right?

  1. I think a good post would be about the complete list of new features that will be included with the new phone. As total insiders to this stuff, what else have you (or anyone heard)
    -Is it true the new 3G chipset has the capability of increasing the camera to 5MP?
    -Any new software apps (not for unlocked, but us scardey cats) to use?
    -Is 32G the high end of the memory?
    -Will there be a trade up credit for those of us who have an iPhone but want the new one?
    -How much is the new phone?

  2. Thanks Mark,

    I would agree with you, however, I am starting to see redundancy, especially since the 3G is a hot topic. If I am not mistaken, there have been previous post here on features, prices, etc so I chose not to go over them again, but focus on when we might actually see this product that has us all in a frenzy.

    But of course, when we find out, you will find out. Details and all. smile
