Description: Dex 123 Animals – Preschool Flash Cards is one of a series of educational applications designed to help toddlers and preschool children learn to count, to recognize numbers, their spelling and pronunciation. Our goal with this and other apps is to combine educational tools with the iPhone’s interface, and to merge that with an emphasis on quality, mindful designs.

The Dex flash cards are a great learning tool for kids and they bring hours of enjoyment and educational benefits. Inspired by traditional, familiar card layouts, our flash cards combine engaging colors, large, simple numbers and custom-themed illustrations to help kids learn their numbers. Each number is paired with an animal scene, helping to teach your toddler their 123s, counting, and the pronunciation and spelling of the words. Each illustration depicts objects and animals, encouraging your

child to count the objects on each card.

We have kept the overall touch-screen experience simple and intuitive, so children of all ages can navigate the cards. With a simple ‘tap’, the card flips, while a ’slide’ of the finger advances to the next card and back. The cards flip and slide in a motion that mimics real cards. A replay sound button appears on each card screen. We have also included custom settings which allow the deck of cards to be shuffled, re-stacked, and a sound-on/off mode, among other features.
